“Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the Lord.
“[a]Though your sins are like scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be like wool. Isaiah 1:18
Says the Lord.

They shall be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be like wool. Isaiah 1:18
I was washing the dishes this morning and making a to-do
list for the day when a thought struck me. I don't know how anyone else washes
dishes but I wash the cleaner items first then I tackle the dirtiest ones last.
If I were to wash the dirtiest first it would ruin my water and I'd have to
drain it and run new soapy water. I looked at the dirty pot I was going to
clean last that had sauce all over the inside and that's when it hit me; God
doesn't wash "cleaner looking sinners" first and deal with the
dirtiest ones last. No way! To God sin is sin no matter how bad one sin looks than another, like murder isn't worse than lying. We are all sinners before coming to Christ. "For all have sinned and fall
short of the glory of God," Romans 3:23
The Lord takes us as we are when we come truly wanting Him sorry for the sinful life we lived. He washes us white as snow! True repentance is to ask God to forgive us of our sins and to turn away from that lifestyle to live as God tells us to live.
"If we decide to continue sinning after we have learned the truth, then there is no other sacrifice that will take away sins." Hebrews 12:26
"If we decide to continue sinning after we have learned the truth, then there is no other sacrifice that will take away sins." Hebrews 12:26
After we give our lives to Jesus life is not going to be a
field of roses where nothing bad happens to us and that we never fall again and sin from time to time. We live in a sinful world and
things will happen to us and we will mess up and sin, but we can ask forgiveness and continue our walk with the Lord. “For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again,
But the wicked stumble in time of disaster and collapse.”
Proverbs 24:16
We have our Father who stays at "the sink" and cleanses
us when we stumble and fall. "If we [freely] admit that
we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just
[true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse
us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing,
everything not in conformity with His will and purpose].:" 1 John 1:9
We have Jesus who prayed for us on earth and continues to pray for us.
"Who is the one who condemns us? Christ Jesus is the
One who died [to pay our penalty], and more than that, who was
raised [from the dead], and who is at the right hand of God interceding [with
the Father] for us." Romans 8:34
And we have the Holy Spirit who is given to us by the Father to help us in our walk. “ But
the[d]Helper (Comforter, Advocate,
Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father
will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My
behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember
everything that I have told you." John 14:26
Dear one, if you would like to stop surviving and make Jesus the Lord of your life and start living, I encourage you to accept Him into your heart
and join the family! God is waiting to cleanse you, just ask!
So say this prayer out loud and mean it with your heart: "Jesus I believe that you are the Son of God. I believe you died on the cross and rose again that I might have eternal life. Jesus I ask you to forgive me for my sin which put you on that cross to pay a debt I could never pay. Jesus come live within my heart and be the Lord of my life. I repent. I turn away from all things that are sinful...the wrong path and turn toward the path you command me to walk. I thank you Jesus for placing your Holy Spirit within this temple. I also ask you to fill me with your Holy Spirit and teach me how to hear and obey your voice. In your sweet holy name I pray. Amen."
"Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in,
joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature
[reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and
spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because
spiritual awakening brings a new life]." 2 Corinthians 5:17
