We have come to the time of year where graduations are taking place. I am excited to see so many people I know share the news of their graduations and their future plans! I pray they walk in every ordered step that the Lord has laid out for them! Jeremiah 29:11Last week I had a dream and in it there was a lot of people I know who are graduating. We were all at a combined party to celebrate their graduations. In the middle of the celebration the Lord tapped me on the shoulder and said that the graduates need to make the decision to follow Him or not because they will be tested.
Ever since I was given this dream it's been on my mind, and while I was drinking a cup of tea a few moments ago it came to mind again. I made my tea a little differently this time and when it was done steeping I went to put sugar in it, but the Holy Spirit said, "No" so I didn't. I was wondering why God wouldn't want me to enjoy my tea the way I like it but obeyed knowing that God knows best.
Well, I took a sip and boy was my tea strong! I thought, "I need a whole bunch of sugar in this!" Then that dream came to mind again and it clicked. Life most definitely is not always "a cup of tea/easy." And there will be moments where God says no, where situations aren't sweet and life can seem too strong. It is in these moments where He grows us if we allow Him. After all Abba Father knows best. We need to remember to trust Him in those strong and bitter moments. We need to make sure He is our first love, our rock, so we can't be shaken!
24 “So everyone who hears these words
of Mine and acts on them, will be like a wise man [a far-sighted,
practical, and sensible man] who built his house on the rock. 25 And
the rain fell, and the floods and torrents came, and the winds
blew and slammed against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had been
founded on the rock. Matthew 7:24-25
So to those who are graduating I congratulate you and I encourage you to get closer to God than you have ever been before. Whether you have been brought up in a family who follows God or you have just came to Him build your house on the Rock. You are either for God or against Him; there is no middle ground. No matter what hardships may come upon you for your faith in Christ know that you are NEVER alone. The One who made you, who loves you and planned out all your days has you in the palms of His hands, and as long as you live in Him He will always be with you. Be blessed!
“Indeed, I have inscribed [a picture of] you on the [g]palms of My hands; Isaiah 49:16
