Be still

Friday evening I attended the "Ladies Something Special" banquet at my church and had an amazing time! I enjoyed good food, fellowship with the ladies and the message the speaker gave us.

We read Psalm 46. In this Psalm is the infamous verse "be still and know that I am God." I have heard this verse all my life; however, our speaker opened my eyes to a different way of seeing this verse.

She told us that being still is more than just having our alone time with God every day. Being still is choosing to keep moving forward despite the troubling diagnosis from the doctor, the car problems, the money problems, people drama, etc. Being still is leaving it in God's hands and continuing to do what He has told you to do!

I was like wow! I realized from my last blog post that God has been instilling this concept of being still in me!

Every Christmas our family gives Jesus a birthday gift. We all give something different, whatever God lays on our heart, and this year I am giving Him my Trust. Oh yes, I have faith that He can and will do great things; however, I am focusing on trusting that He is doing it. I am not going to wonder how it will happen or what I should say or do. I trust Abba Father has my need so I will keep moving forward in what He has told me to do!

Friday evening was a beautiful reminder of what I am gifting to my precious Jesus and an encouragement to keep on keeping on.

So, I share with you this beautiful song to remind you to be still as well.
Be blessed, beloveds!

10 “Be still and know (recognize, understand) that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth.”
11 The Lord of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our stronghold [our refuge, our high tower]. Selah.
Psalm 46:10-11
