Orange caution signs, signs with flashing lights, a worker in a reflective vest telling me to stop or keep going and caution cones!
There is construction in and around my neighborhood because they are repaving the roads. Some days it is frustrating because I didn't leave my house early enough to find a way around the slow parts. If I want to go somewhere I have to plan to leave 10 mins or so earlier than when I normally leave to get there at the same time. I have realized I am used to going my familiar roads and leaving at my precise timing! Even though the detours can slow me down it doesn't stop me from getting where I need to be.
Also I have had to drive slowly making my way around signs and roadblocks in life! I had been trying to establish a daily and weekly routine. For at least three days it goes well, but then something comes up and I have to throw my routine out the window! It was frustrating! I know that every day won't be the same; however, having a predictable schedule would be so nice!
I decided to take the advice I would give someone else, and that is to step back and take it one day at a time. There are some things I can plan ahead of time into my schedule and some things that pop up unexpectedly. Some things can be dealt with right then and there and others things will take more time.I give up trying to schedule out my whole week and I give into living out the day the Lord has given me. I want to make the most of my day, not stress about it not going my way. If there are roadblocks and signs in your way in life, don't stress! Take it one day at a time giving your days over to Abba Father. He already has our path planned out so let's take His hand and walk it out.
Be blessed, beloveds!
This [day in which God has saved me] is the day which the Lord has made;
Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

*Update!*The construction around my neighborhood is over and driving times are back to normal. When it comes to life, I am slowing down and still taking it a day at a time making the most of the day. It has been nice!
