3 God Truths

God is God! There is no beginning or end to Him and we can talk about Him for years and never know the depth of Him! We never will know until we get to heaven. However, I want to point out three truths of His that are oh so beautiful and tell us so much about Him.

#1. God Loves Us
God loves us enough to give us free will and loves us so much He sent His Son to take our place on the cross. 16 “For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] [a]only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge and condemn the world [that is, to initiate the final judgment of the world], but that the world might be saved through Him. John 3:16-17  This unimaginable love leads us to truth number two...

#2. God Forgives
"He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west." Psalm 103:12
No matter how bad we are, no matter what we have done God is holding out His arms waiting for us to turn to Him. He will wash us, adopt us as His own and we will be truth number three...

#3. God Restores
Right there in the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve disobeyed and brought sin in the world God told us His plan to bring us back to Him.
“And I will put enmity (open hostility)
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed (offspring) and her [e]Seed;
He shall [fatally] bruise your head,
And you shall [only] bruise His heel.” Genesis 3:15

The Seed of the woman is Jesus and this passage is talking about Satan. While Satan was able to bruise Jesus "heel" in His death on the cross, Jesus fatally bruised Satan's head when He rose from the dead and canceled the curse of death! Those who turn to Jesus will be saved and live with Him for eternity!


God is awesome, big and more than we can possibly understand! However, we don't need to complicate it. If we "confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe with our heart that God raised Him from the dead we will be saved." Romans 10:9 The moment we give our lives to God we receive His love, forgiveness and restoration! It doesn't take years; it takes a moment and a sincere heart. How amazing is it that God who made all things wants to live in us and use us!
