Hello all!
I pray that you are well. I want to share this song that I wrote in memory of my dear friend Cindy who went home to be with the Lord in late December 2017.
I was lying in bed thinking about her one night when God poured this song out of me!
When Cindy was in her 20's she was in a bad car accident where she sustained a brain injury. All through the 20+ years afterward she pushed forward! The love she had for the Lord was contagious. Oh, how she loved singing and praising Him! Cindy always had an encouraging word and blessing to give to everyone.
I have seen many loved ones of friends and family pass away recently. I know the struggle of grief and searching for comfort one goes through because I have been there. I remember the morning when my Grandma Diane went home to glory and I still went to work and struggled to hold it together. There were many nights that I cried myself to sleep after my Grandma Helen went home to glory.
Through it all I called on the Lord. When I was grieving and I cried until there seemed to be no tears left in me and part of my heart was empty I reminded myself that:
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18
When someone passes away and I think it was too early, I remind myself that:
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8-9
When the grief wanted to overtake me and it seemed like it would never end I remind myself that:
Weeping may tarry for the night,
but joy comes with the morning. Psalm 30:5
I am so glad to be able to celebrate a precious friend through song! It will be a beautiful thing when I get to heaven and I am able to see just how many lives she touched. If you have had a loved one, who is a Christ-follower, go home to glory I pray that this song brings comfort to you as well. Hold onto our Rock, for He surely holds onto you.
Be blessed, beloveds!

Cindy’s Song
V1. Sometimes love is hard you have to carry heavy loads. Sometimes love is easy and bubbles out of your soul
No matter in the journey filled with life’s ups and downs. God’s love gives strength and always can be found
Ch. I see it in your smile and while you sing your joyful song. I see it in your struggles and how you fight to keep pressing on. I see it when I think of you in our Father’s arms. In each memory love has brought us through the storm.
V2. Sometimes love is dancing celebrating a new start. Sometimes love is tears and seeking healing for our heart
No matter in the journey filled with life’s ups and downs. God’s love gives strength and always can be found
Ch
Bridge. Love is patient love is kind it is not jealous. It does not brag it is not proud love is not rude.
It is not selfish won’t anger easily does not remember wrongs. It never stops trusting never loses hope.
Love never fails
Ch end. I see it in your smile and while you sing your joyful song. I see it in your struggles and how you fight to keep pressing on. I see it when I think of you in our Father’s arms. In each memory love has brought us through the storm.
