Psalm 19
Written by Terry Butler
Verse
May the words of my mouth
And the meditations of my heart
Be pleasing to You pleasing to You
May the words of my mouth
And the meditations of my heart
Be pleasing to You my God
Chorus
You're my Rock and my Redeemer
You're the reason that I sing
I desire to be a blessing in Your eyes
Ev'ry hour ev'ry moment
Lord I want to be Your servant
I desire to be a blessing
In Your eyes in Your eyes
Ending
May the words of my mouth
And the meditations of my heart
Be pleasing to You my God
The words in this song are deep. We all desire peace. We all desire safety.
There is no one or any place other than God where we can find peace and safety. People, places, money, and food can't truly bring us peace and safety; but God can! Oh, we may think we need a certain thing or person or a situation should be handled this way, but is that God's plan?
When we give our plans, life, and heart to God's way and stop trying to go our way things go a lot smoother! Problems get handled quickly and messes in life do not bother us. We may sway from side to side almost losing our footing in huge storms, but when we remember the Rock we are standing on and that we are tucked in the shadow of His wing, we stand tall and face what is coming head on!
If you are going through a struggle I pray that you cast your cares upon the Lord. We were not made to walk alone or carry the burdens of life. We were made to abide and seek refuge in God in the storm and when the sun is shining.
Soak up the Son today, beloved, and find your rest!
6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6

This is so good, and so pointedly directed at me. I am trying SO HARD to really rest in His faithfulness--but there you see it: I'm trying! Love you, girl!
