I am so thankful!

As I stand at the sink and wash my dad's eggplant purple thermos, I am thankful to have a daddy who is in my life and works hard for his family.
I am thankful that my dad has a job!
I am thankful for the running water so I can wash the dishes.
I am thankful that our pantry and fridge has food!
I have been sick this week and I am getting better because I got medicine before my sinuses got worse. I am thankful that I was able to buy medicine.
I am thankful that I have a job and that it is one I enjoy!
I have seen so much debate, arguments and opinions on the upcoming elections; I am thankful that I live in a free country and I am able to vote.
We only have one car that works right now, I am thankful for it!

My friend shared a post on facebook that said: "What would you have today if all you woke up to is what you thanked God for yesterday?"

Isn't that powerful! Let's be honest people, we take so many things for granted. There are so many blessings that God pours on us daily and we just walk through life maybe waving a thank you at God for a parking spot close to the front of the grocery store or finding what we planned on buying is on sale.

Lord, forgive me for taking the blessings you give me each and every day for granted! I am blessed and I thank You from the bottom of my heart. Let me see Your beauty in creation every day and let there be thank you's that escape from my lips every day. You provide my needs and even bless me with the desires of my heart.

A Psalm for giving thanks.

100 Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!

2     Serve the Lord with gladness!

    Come into his presence with singing!

3 Know that the Lord, he is God!

    It is he who made us, and we are his;[a]

    we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving,

    and his courts with praise!

    Give thanks to him; bless his name!

5 For the Lord is good;

    his steadfast love endures forever,

    and his faithfulness to all generations.
