I do not say Happy Easter
I do not hand out candy and things.
I say Happy Resurrection Day
Because this day is about my King!
I am grateful for the perfect life
Jesus lived without sin.
I am grateful that Love came down
And took my place and now dwells with me and within!
He was beaten bruised and pierced
Hung 6 hours on a cross.
Spent 3 days in a tomb
So that the sting of death is lost!
I no longer have to live in darkness
My past defines me no more.
I received His gift of salvation
And look forward to what this relationship has in store!
I shout to the world of His goodness
Of His power, might and strength.
That God the Father sent Jesus His Son
So I can dwell with Him for eternity living a life well spent!
