I so enjoy going to the beach! This summer I was blessed to be able to visit two beaches. One of my favorite things to do at the beach is look for sea shells!
I searched long and hard on the first beach we visited but I kept finding all these broken shells! It was rare that I found a whole one, and when I did it was super tiny.
I did notice the beauty of the broken pieces of shells. All the pieces looked different and most had cool patterns.
Since I couldn't take home whole shells I thought of different craft projects I could use the broken pieces for: a mosaic picture or just decorate with the pieces.
As I walked along the beach I saw the lesson from the broken shells and smiled; God can take all our broken pieces and make us whole!
We went to the second beach and it was the same thing-broken shells. This beach had a bonus-broken sand dollars which caught my interest. My friend told me "if you put pieces together you might be able to make a whole sand dollar!"
God is an expert in picking up broken pieces and making us whole. All of us have been broken in one way or another. And if we say yes, He picks us up, sets us on the potter's wheel, and makes something amazing!
Your cracks/scars are part of your story. Will you use them for His glory?
Let God put the broken pieces back together again and walk in the new. Be blessed, beloveds!
The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: 2 “Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will let you hear[a] my words.” 3 So I went down to the potter's house, and there he was working at his wheel. 4 And the vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter's hand, and he reworked it into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to do.
5 Then the word of the Lord came to me: 6 “O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter has done? declares the Lord. Behold, like the clay in the potter's hand, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel. Jeremiah 18:1-6
