I know who I am!

A dear friend made this flower crown for me and I feel
like the princess I am wearing it!
It's horrible to have words such as "you aren't going to amount to nothing", "everyone will is waiting
for you to mess up", or "you can't do it" spoken into you. Words like these should not be spoken into anyone.
What about when these words aren't spoken aloud; instead they just pop into your head?
No matter how deep or confident you are in Christ these words are bound to pop in your mind sometimes. Why? Because the enemy knows how powerful words are.

He can get us second to guess ourselves. He can get us question or doubt God. At times it doesn't take much to get us in this state of mind.

I have had some words pop up in my mind this week:
"You aren't qualified." "Learning something new is going to take a long time." "Are you sure you can handle this?" "That's a lot of people to speak to."
Thoughts like these have been rolling through my head all week long and today I had enough! I know these thoughts shouldn't be in the mind of a child of the King! So I told myself:

God laid this new job before me and He will surely give me the ability to perform. I do my best and give the rest to Him!
I won't let the thought of more people in my Sunday School class scare me. God has given me the words to teach and He will get the message out!
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength! (Philippians 4:13)

As I looked back on my week I saw the different moments God had people speak life into me to build me up. He showed me that I wasn't fighting these thoughts alone.

The enemy will throw the attack of negative thinking at us. The question is how will we deal with it? Will we allow those words to tumble around our mind as they rot away at us?
Will we push them deep down only to have them come back up at the wrong time and bring us down?

Or as a child of God will you remind yourself who you are? That you are a child of the Most High and greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world!

I know who I am, and I thank God for Him reminding me. Be blessed, beloveds!

Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
1 John 4:4
