You might ask what is good about Good Friday? Today we remember when Jesus was arrested, put on trial, whipped and taken to Golgotha to be crucified.
You might ask how is that good? Without Jesus giving the ultimate sacrifice we would have no hope! We would stay dead in our sin forever, BUT God sent His son for us. Jesus did what we can never do; live a sinless life and be the perfect sacrifice.
Because Jesus died for us we have the ability to repent of our sin, be saved and receive new life. Because Jesus rose again on the third day we can rise again one day as well and live with Him in heaven.
My Jesus went though so much and He did it for me and He did it for you because He loves us! I don't think we can ever fully comprehend that until we get to heaven. It makes me cry when I see that God said I was worthy because He sent His son for me. We don't deserve it, but God showed He wants us. Glory to God!
I pray that you enjoy today's song Were you There sung by Selah. Reflect today on God's goodness and rejoice anew that we can have new life.
Be blessed, beloveds!

6 For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— 8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:6-8
9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. 13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:9-13
