Today, April 7th, is Rwanda's 26th commemoration of the 1994 genocide. 26 years later and Rwanda has bounced back from that dark time in their history. The strides forward they have made is amazing. Rwanda is a beautiful country that I have been blessed to visit! The people are friendly, the food is delicious and the scenery is breathtaking! They call Rwanda "The land of a thousand hills" and each hill is gorgeous.
I have been praying over Rwanda for 12 years. Praying that there will be total and complete healing in every heart that was affected by the genocide. That their mourning will be replaced with dancing! I continue to pray that over this country that God has placed on my heart.
I look forward to the day I go back to Rwanda and I look forward to the complete healing of this marvelous country. Rwanda, you will forever be a part of my heart. Today's song of encouragement is I bless you by Dennis Jernigan and I pray this over you Rwanda.
I bless you by Dennis Jernigan
11 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
you have loosed my sackcloth
and clothed me with gladness,
12 that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!
Psalm 30:11-12
