Yesterday was hard. The Holy Spirit hadn't given me a song for the day so I wasn't sure what to post. A friend came to me with a question that I thought was the theme for the days post but it wasn't coming together.
I try to post the daily encouragement at 1 pm but it was now 1:30 and I was frustrated! I love my family but I just wanted to get away for a while!
So, I packed my Bible, journal and a towel and I went to the park. I knew just the spot to sit at too; on the other side of the pond a good distance away from the path. A spot surrounded by trees and water. I looked around for a bit and took in the scenery, then I layed down enjoying the warmth of the sunshine! I listened to the songs of the frogs and birds and finally a smile came to my face!
I poured out my heart to the Lord and realized I just needed a one day break from posting encouragement and to be refilled. As time went on I started making plans for when we can start meeting again and I thanked God for the people in my life.
When I left the park I still had some uneasiness in me and I don't know why. I did enjoy the rest of my day though and when I went to bed I had no more uneasiness.
When I woke up this morning I had such joy and a smile instantly came to my lips! A smile reminded me of today's encouraging song I Smile by Kirk Franklin.
No matter what we go through we can still smile when we have Jesus! Not every day is going to be sunshine and rainbows, but we are promised that God will walk with us through it all.
So, I encourage you to smile today. Go to the Lord for His peace. It is a peace that doesn't make sense to the world. We should be miserable when going through struggles right? No! The joy of the Lord is our strength and when we take hold of His peace as well it will be hard to get rid of your smile!
Be blessed, beloved!

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness[d] be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
