Hello all! I pray that you are doing well. I have so enjoyed my time here in Rwanda being able to help and support Mt Hope in person.
There are a lot of exciting things happening with Mt Hope as it is being built and established! Today I would like to share Mt Hope's story in the words of Jean Claude Rwagasore, the founder of Mt Hope:
"I remember the first day when I was meeting these little kids on the street, others coming from firming while it's school time. And ask them why they are not in school? They answered me that where they live there is no school. They wait to be 7 years old and walk where there is school which takes 1 hour. I was shocked!
The second time, I went back there and talked with some moms on how they can make Home based ECD (Early Childhood Development) to care about these little kids instead of letting them stay in the streets and firms. I gave them some basic materials like food, porridge, a black board, carpets, chalks and so on.
The third time, I went to the market and bought them plastic chairs so that they can sit and study easily and comfortably.
The forth time, I brought them Mt Hope T-shirts as uniforms and they were very much smiling!
On the fifth time, with my family, we decided to buy the land and I was leveling it my self. I prayed for it so that God can make it place of blessing for the community.
