Day 3

Our Monday was a full day!
We started off by going to the Genocide Memorial Museum. This was my second time going and it is always sobering and helps you see and understand what Rwanda has gone through. One of the neat things at the end of the tour is seeing all the ways Rwanda has taken strides to reconciliation, forgiveness and peace.

Next was shopping and that was fun as always. You have to haggle your way to a good price and it is so nice to have our Rwandan friends Claude and Kristen there to make sure we were getting the best price.

Next was lunch and it was delicious!

Afterwards we went to the grocery store to store up on coffee and tea and boy we really helped the economy! LOTS of coffee was bought!

Our next stop was visiting Jean Baptiste's house and enjoying the snacks his wife made us!
Then we went to the Nyandugu Urban Wetland park. It was a refreshing walk in the fresh air listening to the bugs chirping and feeling the breeze.

To end our day we ate at Ubumwe Grande Hotel and it has an amazing view of the city!

I was able to meet my friends Jean Claude and Emmanuel from Best Family Rwanda and they graciously picked up the gift I brought for my sponsor kid!

Day 3 was full of fellowship, fun and building stronger bonds with our team. It was an amazing day and I am so thankful for each of my 19 team members!
