Day 5

We had quite a full day! Our morning started off with four church visits in the Base area. These are all churches that Pastor Salathiel oversees, trains and encourages.
The last church is nicknamed "church on the hill" and boy it is quite a trek to get there! Some of us were faster getting up the hill, some of us (me included) needed to take some breaks, but we all encouraged each other and made it.

It was a market day so many church members were in the market buying and selling, but at the last church we were greeted with singing and dancing! They invited us into the dance and we all enjoyed praising the Lord together!

My teammate Gavin and I were able to share our testimonies and encourage the church members. At every church we went to we prayed over the church and fellowshipped with with the pastors and members who were there. It was a sweet time!

There were two ways down the hill: one was by a water fall and the other the regular way, haha. Myself and a few other teammates went the regular way and we were able to pray with patients at the clinic. That was sweet!

There are many tea fields in this area and I love seeing them!

We also visited another waterfall along the way. Others in the team went to the bottom and got amazing pictures. I was saving my strength and stayed at the top, but got this nice picture.

Then we went to visit Blessing School for the Visually Impaired and met the founder Bosco and some of the teachers. We had a wonderful time talking with the kids, playing with them and finding all kinds of things to laugh about!

By the school we had a neat view of three volcanoes! I was only able to get a picture of one because it was rather difficult, haha! We traveled to some land Pastor Salathiel has where he is praying and hopeful to see it turned into a long term project.

We ended the day with dinner which was full of team fellowship, then headed back to the hotel to debrief over the day.

We all agreed that the worship in dance and visiting the school for the blind were the highlights of our day. It is wonderful to see all the many ways that God is working in Rwanda and the people He is using to accomplish His will. Of them saying yes even though the project or job is huge. They rely on Him and we get to see their faith in action.

Truly awesome and inspiring!
