Day 6 had a lot of activity. Some of the guys stayed at the church and conducted the Pastors Conference.
Some of the ladies went to a tent area and conducted the Women's Conference.
Some of the team stayed there and watched the children of the ladies attending the conference.
The last team went to do school visits and I was part of that team.
School visits are so much fun! We went to an elementary school and were greeted with a warm welcome! We played and talked with the kids for a bit, then we started with singing some Bible songs. They surprised us by performing a traditional dance, which was beautiful, then they pulled us in and we danced with them!
Wherever we go we have been teaching the kids different testimonies from the life of Moses in the Bible and how God helped him. My teammate Phillip did a great job talking about the burning bush and how God used Moses even though Moses didn't think he was qualified for the task.
I had the privilege of sharing the Gospel, and my second privilege was being able to use the Wordless Book!
I was trained in using the Wordless Book when I was apart of Good News Club which is a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship.
With Good News Club we were able to have Bible clubs in public schools. How awesome is that! It is an amazing ministry and I dearly loved it!
When I found out that I would be presenting the Gospel in Rwanda my mind immediately knew I was bringing the Wordless Book.
This bookmark is a summary of the colors. I showed the kids the different colors then talked more about them, making sure to use at least one Bible verse which each color, so it all comes from the Bible.
We prayed with the kids, said our goodbyes and headed back to join the team.
We had lunch with the pastors, women and children back at the church and had a little break. They served us sugarcane and it was neat! And I took a selfie with one of our translators and friends Naomi!
The pastor's conference kept going and some stayed while the rest of us went to another elementary school. We took some of the pastor's wives with us there and they were a great help!
My teammate Gavin shared the Gospel using the Wordless Book for the first time and he did amazing! My teammate Emma shared the testimony of Moses parting the Red Sea, and even though the situation looked hopeless God has a plan. His plan was absolutely amazing and God was faithful. He saved His people Israel and defeated their enemies, the Egyptian army!
One of the pastor's wives prayed over the children and the school and it was beautiful. We said our goodbyes, loaded up into the bus, and met up with the rest of the team.
We came back to the hotel for dinner and then it was time to rest for the night.
We had a beautiful day with four different ministries going on at once. The sunset was the perfect ending for the day! Seeing the glorious sunsets every day has been one of my favorite things. God knows how to make His children smile!
