The bones of the future for BSVI

The front of the school

The back of the school

It has been my great joy to work alongside the staff at Blessing School For The Visually Impaired! Seeing the kids learning, the teachers connecting with their kids and getting all the school's information from the founder, Bosco, is such a blessing.

While I am enjoying working at the school they have now, it is very exciting to see what the future holds!

Bosco took me to their new site to see the school that is being built and it is very neat! The school building will have two stories with plans of adding another in the future. Standing on top of the roof gave me a great birds eye view of the property!

Looking at the front of the property you can see the fence that is being built right now. To the right of this picture there is a foundation outline that will house a classroom, library, storage and ICT (Information and Communication Technology) room.
To the left of the picture is the foundation outline for the offices. There will be a front office for the school and one in the back for ministry work. It is neat that the plans have been made to keep the ministry side and school side separate, so as to give the children privacy and keep the students from distraction.

Looking at the back of the property we can see the boys and girls dormitories and Multipurpose building that is almost completed!

The dormitories can house 200 students and there is private housing for the men and women who will live on campus with the students.

Both dormitories have sinks, six toilets and a washing area. The building of the dormitories was lovingly made possible by Relevant Church of South Carolina.

In the middle of the dormitories is the Multipurpose Building. Not only will it hold school assemblies but plans are also in place to hold church services that the community can fellowship at. This building was also lovingly made possible by Relevant Church of South Carolina.

I have Bosco standing proudly in front of the stage!

At the back of this building is the spacious kitchen that will have gas and charcoal stoves as well as a bread oven. I can just imagine all the delicious food that will be made here!

Although there is much work left to do so much has been done already! As you listen to Bosco excitedly tell of the future plans you can't help but join the excitement and think about all that is to come.

With such a big school property there will be a need for more teachers, grounds crew, cooks and other staff. As God has been faithful in getting this site established we know He will surely work out all the details!

Currently they are trying to raise the funds to get the area around the almost completed sections paved and the kitchen tiled.

If you would like to help with the building cost or give so the funds are specified for the running of the school, you can give at this link:

Your prayers are very much appreciated and I look forward to sharing the journey to a finished school.
God bless!
