I was so blessed to be able to celebrate my engagement with some of my closest friends and family in June!
My Mom and Aunt Donna did an amazing job planning the event and there are so many ladies who helped us set up and tear down at the end.
I was so happy to incorporate my favorite color pink!
And to have touches of Rwanda, like the coffee and tea from Rwanda as favors 🩷
I was blessed to have 60 ladies and their daughters attend. That was 60 hugs!
As the the ladies started to gather and fill the room my smile got bigger and bigger.
Pretty soon it was time to eat. Chicken salad sandwiches with fruit and veggies were delicious, and my Mom made all the cakes. 🩷
Then it was game time! My lovely Aunt Liza and Aunt Donna did great in leading and explaining the rules. The "ring game", "guess the dress" and Rwanda trivia were a lot of fun!
It was fun seeing which ladies drew the right dress style. There were many winners who won a piece of chocolate!

Some of the most special moments were the prayer times. My Godmother Helen said a blessing over the food.
And my dear friend Anna lead the prayer of blessing over Patrick and me. All the ladies came around to pray and that was so dear to my heart. 🩷
I was happy to thank all the ladies for coming, for their love and support. Tears were shed as I mentioned how leaving Texas was bitter sweet, but then I had the joy of telling everyone how Patrick and I met!
All good things must come to an end, but before the ladies started leaving I was able to take many pictures!
My Dad and Mom
My Aunties
The ladies in my family who attended
My Immanuel Baptist Church ladies
My Temple Bible Church ladies
And plenty of selfies!
I truly was "showered" with love at my bridal shower and enjoyed every moment! Thank you again to all the ladies who came, sent cards, set up, tore down, and shared your love with me. It means the world!
