Hello everyone,
I am sure that many of you have seen/heard the news about the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
So far there are no cases in Rwanda. To control the possible spread the border between DRC and Rwanda has been closed.
There are Rwandans who have businesses in DRC and cannot work due to the border closure. Also, there are DRC citizens who have their businesses in Rwanda and they are not able to work due to the border closure.
These people are not able to buy food and they are going hungry and starving. The whole situation with Ebola in DRC is tough enough as it is, and the lack of food is a further burden that many are carrying.
Even though we may not physically be able to cross the border, there are ways we can still reach over and help.
First, we can pray. God can do far more than what we can see or imagine! Praying for the people in DRC is a huge way to offer encouragement and assistance.
Secondly, we can give funds so people can purchase food.
For $50 a family can buy rice, corn flour, oil, and beans. This will feed the family for 3 weeks.
Even though we don’t know how long the border will be closed, helping a family with food security for 3 weeks is a big blessing.
If you would like to give financially, here is the link to my Rwanda fundraising account. (It will give you the option for 100% of your gift to go towards fundraising or a small percentage will go to the website to help cover operation costs. If you do not want the small percentage going toward the website, make sure you click that all funds go to fundraising.)

Thank you in advance for your prayers and giving. As always, I will keep you all updated.
God bless 🩷
